Ancient Path,
Rinzai Zen International is a worldwide sangha devoted to practice of the Rinzai Zen path. Affiliated meditation groups are active in North America and Europe, and new groups may form wherever sincere practitioners gather for training.

was transmitted to the West by Omori Sogen Roshi and his heirs.

is Zen-Ken-Sho: classical Zen training, martial discipline, and fine arts practiced as one path of human refinement.

At Korinji and Internationally
Intensive Zen retreats, sesshin, led by Meido Roshi are offered six times each year at Korinji, our headquarters monastery in Wisconsin, and twice annually in Europe. Other retreats, seminars, ceremonies, and classes are also offered, including beginner retreats, Shugendo training, and other practice events.

Living and Training Opportunities at Korinji Monastery
Traditional Rinzai Zen monastic training at Korinji is open to a small number of qualified applicants prepared to devote themselves completely to intensive Buddhist practice. Both lay and ordained trainees, as well as those wishing to train for ordination, may apply.
